  • Preview Features Panel: Explore What’s Coming, Faster

    Now you can access and try upcoming features in just a few clicks. The new Preview Features Panel gives you a dedicated place to toggle experimental capabilities on or off, right from the UI. Provide feedback, prepare your workflows in advance, and stay ahead of the curve.

  • Standalone Login App: Simpler Auth, Seamless UX

    We’ve decoupled login flows from the Web SDK and introduced a new Standalone Login Application. This offers consistent authentication across all Cumulocity web apps. You’ll benefit from a streamlined login experience, improved design, and easier integration without custom flows.

  • Extension Package Change Logs: More Transparency, Less Guesswork

    You can now track changes to deployed extension packages via a new Change Log tab in the package details view. Whether you’re updating or troubleshooting, it’s now easier to understand what’s changed and when;  right from the UI.

  • Enhanced Radial Gauge Widget: Sharper Looks, Smarter Controls

    The new radial gauge widget makes it easier than ever to build attractive and responsive dashboards:

    • Preset templates for quick setup
    • Advanced configuration for fine-tuned styling

  • Monaco Editor for Translations: Better Multilingual Support

    We’ve integrated an editor interface into the translation management UI, making it easier to bulk edit or import translations. Managing multi-language experiences is now faster, more scalable, and less error-prone.

  • Preview : Import/Export Dashboards: Replicate and Share with Ease

    Quickly copy dashboards between tenants, assets, or environments with our new import/export dashboard capability. Schema validation and intelligent asset mapping ensures everything lands correctly the first time.

  • Angular 19 & Standalone Components: Faster, Lighter, More Modular

    Our Web SDK now supports Angular 19 and offers standalone component support; making it easier to build modular apps with improved performance.

  • Microservice Rollback & API Enforcement

    Now you can rollback microservices to previously deployed versions more easily and with no version bumps required. This change streamlines development and supports safer deployments. Also, enforcement of v2 API standards ensures consistency and compatibility across services.

Device Management & thin-edge.io

  • Cloud Remote Access: Smarter Protocol Selection

    Devices now report supported protocols (via SmartREST template 150), so users see only relevant options when configuring remote access. This reduces errors and improves compatibility.

  • Visibility of Child Devices

    We’ve improved how child devices are displayed in lists by marking them with the is_device fragment. Now they show up just like any other device; making bulk actions and filtering far more intuitive.

  • Intuitive Column Configuration

    Custom columns in device lists are now easier to manage. You can configure them using the property library in Digital Twin Manager (DTM) and select properties via dropdown; no more typing fragment paths by hand.

  • SmartREST Template for Platform Version Detection

    SmartREST Template 600 now allows devices to detect the platform version they’re connecting to. This improves backwards compatibility and allows devices to automatically adapt to the interfaces that are available.

Data management

We are excited to announce a number of new public previews for you to try out and provide us feedback on before we take them to GA later in the year. Please be aware that behavior may change as a result of your feedback.

  • Preview: MQTT Service

    The Cumulocity MQTT Service is a new MQTT endpoint implementation that supports arbitrary payloads and a free topic structure. Customers can now connect any MQTT device, with the appropriate Cumulocity authentication, and send proprietary data to the platform. The public preview isolates devices at the tenant level, which means devices within a tenant can subscribe to topics being published to by another device. When this feature goes to GA this will be updated with device level isolation which ensures devices can only publish and subscribe to their own topics.

  • Preview: Messaging Service Monitoring and Management

    Closely aligned with the MQTT Service is the new Messaging Service Monitoring and Management feature. Customers can now see the underlying topics and subscribers for the MQTT Service, Notification v2 API and the DataBroker, enabling action to be taken if a topic is not being cleared properly. For instance if a consumer has a problem, action can be taken to ensure the topics do not reach their maximum size and create a problem for other consumers/publishers.

  • Preview: Certificate Authority

    Cumulocity can now manage signing certificates, accept CSRs, perform legitimacy checks and issue signed x509 certificates. This dramatically reduces the overhead in cost, time and effort to use this approach to authentication which is currently considered the most secure approach when connecting devices to an IoT Platform.

  • Smart Rules Resilience

    Thanks to Notifications 2.0, Smart Rules now recover more efficiently from platform restarts and are more reliable overall. Just enable two feature flags to activate; no redeployment needed.

    Bring powerful analytics to non-technical users. Our new Analytics Rules let you build, configure, and deploy rules from pre-built templates — all without code. Embedded into Cumulocity apps like Cockpit and Device Management, this puts advanced automation directly into the hands of business users.

    A new command-line interface (CLI) makes deploying Cumulocity Edge easier than ever:
